There is nothing like riding down the road and smelling grill-scented air!
I do not eat much meat; however, I have no self-control when holidays come around. The fourth of July weekend was a perfect example of this. I normally eat turkey and chicken; however, I ate beef, pork, turkey, and shrimp all in less than 24 hours. I'm not proud of my actions, but it was so good! I am surprised my body did not respond by exploding...Oh! I forgot corn-on-the-cob! I love it cold! I usually burn my tongue if it is hot, but straight out of the fridge the next day is GLORIOUS!
I am thinking about buying a baby grill for my balcony, so I can grill hot dogs (kosher!) everyday! I suppose I will have to double-check with the leasing company before making a purchase. Or, I could look at my lease. It would suck if I can't have one!
...
on a separate note:
I am ready to be done with my term of service with AmeriCorps. I still believe in what the organization stands for. I just think I am burnt out on what I am doing. I guess it doesn't help that there aren't anymore events to be planned.
I don't regret doing a second year at all! I have enjoyed the office. I have learned a lot. I like to think I have grown a lot. I am a Sacagawea Award recipient! (Just for you Susan!) It's just time to move on...
